O God, who on this day, through your Only Begotten Son, have conquered death and unlocked for us the path to eternity, grant, we pray, that we who keep the solemnity of the Lord’s Resurrection may, through the renewal brought by your Spirit, rise up in the light of life. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

CHRISM MASS 2025

We join the Most Reverend Florentino G. Lavarias, D.D. and the presbyterium of Pampanga for the Chrism Mass 2025, at which the Holy Chrism is consecrated and the oils are blessed. This is also a manifestation of the communion of the
priests with the bishop in the same priesthood and ministry of Christ.*

The Mass will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 8:30 am at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando.

The mortal remains of Fr. Sahagun

The mortal remains of Fr. Sahagun are currently at the Saint Michael, the Archangel Parish in Anao, Pampanga and will stay until the early morning of March 6, 2025.

A Requiem Mass will be held at the Holy Rosary Parish in Sto. Rosario, Angeles City, Pampanga, on March 6, 2025, at 8:30 A.M.

The interment will subsequently take place at the Pampanga Clergy Common Burial Grounds, Holy Mary Memorial Park, Angeles City, Pampanga.

Trusting in the Lord’s promise of eternal life, the Archdiocese of San Fernando announces the passing of REVEREND FATHER PABLO LAPIRA SAHAGUN today, 27th of February 2025.

Born on June 26, 1964, Fr. Sahagun was ordained to the priesthood on April 7, 1994. He has served as a parish priest in various parishes, was appointed as the alternate vicar forane of the Blessed Trinity Vicariate in 2017, and functioned as a chaplain to archdiocesan schools.

Let us pray for the eternal repose of his soul and all souls in purgatory.

Votive Mass for the Holy Year

The archdiocese and the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando invites everyone for a Votive Mass for the Holy Year on Monday, February 17.
It will be presided over by His Eminence, Pablo Virgilio S. Cardinal David, DD, SThD at 5:30pm, with the presence of our Archbishop, The Most Reverend Florentino G. Lavarias DD, and the Most Reverend Paciano B. Aniceto, DD.
We extend the invitation to everyone: priests, religious, parishes, organizations, schools, and institutions.
Cardinal David is the 10th Filipino and the 2nd Kapampangan to be elevated to the College of Cardinals.

February 08, 2025 – Media Ministers from the Metropolitan See of San Fernando gathered today for their inaugural general assembly. Members and representatives from the Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Zambales listened and learned insights, reflections, and techniques about our mission in the digital environment.
Speakers were Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Alfonso SJ of Jesuit Communications, Rev. Fr. Fiel Pareja, journalist Kara David, and technologist Dominic Ligot.
