The last time that the town of Magalang hosted the archdiocesan feast of our patroness, the Virgen de los Remedios, was in 1980. In the photo, you will see a photograph of Rosalio Dizon, who was chosen to crown the sacred image of our mother.

As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Virgen de los Remedios on September 8 in our archdiocese, our Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission, Pampanga has provided the liturgical text for the celebration of the Mass on that day.
The Mass proper on September 8 and readings are taken from the proper of Virgen de los Remedios; the Gloria is sung, the Creed is said, and Evening Prayer I and the Te Deum are observed.
If the celebration falls on a Sunday, like this year, the Saturday evening Masses and all Sunday Masses, within the Archdiocese, will be from the proper of the Virgen de los Remedios as provided by the norms of the celebration of the Solemnity of the Virgen de los Remedios, which takes precedence over the Sunday in Ordinary Time.
