On September 8, 2025, we joyfully celebrate the Solemnity of the Virgen de los Remedios and the 69th anniversary of the canonical coronation of our beloved patroness and constant intercessor.
This year’s celebration is illumined by the Jubilee Year of Hope, reminding us that Mary, our Mother, is not only a model of faith but also our faithful companion and fellow pilgrim of hope.
Mary teaches us to say “Yes” with trust. Her humble faith at the Annunciation inspires us to welcome God’s will with courage. As a true companion on life’s journey, she walks with us—guiding, strengthening, and encouraging us to remain steadfast in hope amidst our joys and sorrows.
Kindly be guided by the following (Circular Letter No. 33 Series 2025):
1. The images of the Virgen de los Remedios and the Santo Cristo del Perdon y Caridad will be transferred from the VDLR Repository Chapel, San Jose, CSFP, to the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando, CSFP, on 29 August 2025 (Friday, 2:30 PM).
2. There will be novena masses in all parishes of the archdiocese from August 30 to September 7.
3. The host vicariate, the Vicariate of Christ the King, will celebrate novena masses at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando, CSFP. The novena masses will be livestreamed through the cathedral and archdiocesan social media pages.
4. All parishes are enjoined to celebrate a Mass to commemorate the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the morning of 8 September 2025. However, there will be no coronation rites in the parishes (Circular Letter No. 47, Series 1994, Policy
on Local Coronations of the Image of “Virgen de los Remedios”).
5. There will be a midafternoon prayer (little office) at the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Fernando, CSFP, at 2:00 PM. The Ritu ning Pamagmula at Prusisyun shall follow afterwards, and then, the images of the Virgen de los Remedios and Santo Cristo del Perdon y Caridad will be taken to the Pampanga Capitol
Grounds, CSFP for the continuation of the celebration of the Archdiocesan Eucharistic Celebration.
6. After the celebration, the images will be borne in procession back to the VDLR Repository Chapel, San Jose, CSFP.
7. The faithful are also encouraged to bring their own umbrellas, fans, raincoats, food, water, and other provisions.
